Titling/Title Transfer/Plate Transfer

Whether you are transferring a PA Title or an Out of State Title we have listed the documents that you will need when you come to visit us.

FOR PA TITLE OWNERSHIP TRANSFER

  • Proof of Insurance, you will need a valid insurance ID card.

  • Your valid PA driver's license, ID card or military ID. (Purchaser and Seller)

  • The original Title for the vehicle you are transferring

  • Odometer reading

FOR OUT OF STATE TRANSFERS ONLY

  • Your valid driver's license, ID card or Military ID. (Purchaser and Seller)

  • Title for Vehicle Transferring

  • Current insurance information

  • Odometer reading

  • If the vehicle was purchased within the last 6 months, a sale tax receipt or other proof of payment is needed from the prior state as a PA tax will be due.

TRANSFER A PLATE

  • You may transfer a plate that you own.  transferring a plate from your spouse, parent or child is also allowed.  

  • Bring the old registration card with you.
